Letters About Literature (www.lettersaboutliterature.org  ) is a reading and writing program sponsored by the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress and Target. The program asks students in grades 4-12 to write to a favorite author on how his or her work affected them. Winning students read their award-winning letters at the 2004 National Book Festival.
